Utility Laurel Path Co., Ltd. operates from 349 Somdet Chao Phraya Road, Khlong San, Bangkok 10600. The company was established in 2019 to offer in-person chart reading workshops after our founders noticed a gap between generic online courses and the specific questions Bangkok-based traders were asking at local meetups.
How we started
Somchai Viriyakul began hosting informal chart review evenings near Khlong San in 2017, printing ATR panels for a handful of friends who traded SET names alongside US sessions. Those evenings grew into structured half-day workshops when participants asked for written materials they could take back to their desks.
By 2019 the sessions incorporated a formal workbook and a consistent regime vocabulary—compressed, expanding, trending, chaotic—that participants still use on their log sheets. Utility Laurel Path registered as a company that year to handle corporate bookings from local asset managers and prop groups.
We have not expanded into signal services, fund management, or brokerage. Revenue comes from workshop seats, clinics, and private desk training contracts.
Our approach
Regime reading is taught as a deliberate pause before sizing up or down. We use paper annotations first because screen tools encourage overwriting labels when a trade moves against you. Each participant leaves with a checklist that includes an invalidation sentence—what tomorrow's price action would prove today's label wrong.
Examples in our workbooks skew toward Thai and regional markets because that is where most of our participants trade. When a corporate client covers different asset classes, we rebuild the case study section during scoping—not with a generic slide deck swap.
People
Somchai Viriyakul leads flagship workshops and developed the original regime checklist. He traded Thai equities professionally for eight years before moving full-time into instruction.
Naree Prasert runs chart labs and contributes field notes on session timing, VIX term structure, and holiday-volume adjustments. She previously supported a regional FX desk's morning research brief.
Pichit Lert handles corporate scheduling, workbook production, and the pre-workshop reading lists sent after registration.
